Michael S. Dubow received his B.Sc. in Biology from SUNY-Binghamton, followed by a Ph.D. in Microbiology from Indiana University for studies of functions and distribution among prokaryotes of host factor for coliphage Qβ RNA replication. Dr. Michael S. Dubow has held the position of Professor at Université Paris-Sud in 2002 and worked in the Microbiology Department of the Institute for Integrative Biology of the Cell (I2BC). Much of his research focus there was on the functional genomics approaches to elucidate the role of bacteriophages in bacteria biofilms. Professor Michael DuBow received Grand Challenges Explorations Grant for groundbreaking research in global health and development, which will pursue an innovative global health and development research project, titled “Business Card-based Bacteriophage Therapy?” He was also the Vice-President (Research) of the Department of Biology (2004-2009), the Elected Member of the Biology Department Council (2004-2012) and the Named “Program Coordinator" for East Asian Affairs (East Asia).
