报告摘要:Quasiperiodic systems, related to irrational numbers, are a class of important and widely existing systems, including such as quasicrystals, incommensurate systems, defects, interfacial problems. Due to the irrational numbers, the quasiperiodic system is a space-filling structure without decay, which results in difficulty in numerical computation. A traditional method is using a periodic system to approximate the quasiperiodic system. It produces a Diophantine approximation error and related error. In this talk, we will establish the error analysis of the periodic approximation method. Furthermore, we will propose an efficient method, i.e., the projection method, to avoid the Diophantine approximation and obtain high accurate quasiperiodic solutions. We also apply the novel method to some applications, including such as soft quasicrystals, quasiperiodic quantum systems, and quasiperiodic interfaces.
蒋凯,湘潭大学教授,博士生导师。主要研究方向是准周期系统,复杂流体建模与计算,在SISC、JCP、CSIAM-AM、PRE等杂志发表文章20余篇。在准晶方面的研究,是博士后合作导师张平文院士在2018年国际数学家大会的主要内容。2021年获湖南省自然科学基金委“杰出青年科学基金”资助,主持国家自然科学基金委面上基金项目、青年基金项目各一项。担任中国工业与应用数学学会“数学与航天交叉学科”专业委员会副秘书长,“科学工程计算与数值仿真”湖南省重点实验室副主任。
